Happy Valentine’s Day to everyone who are celebrating, and happy Tuesday to everyone who aren’t! It’s super cold in Toronto right now and I think for most of us that means chapped lips. Lipstick obviously can’t replace lip balm but some lipsticks can definitely help more than others. I know that the shades pretty much all look the same in the photos so I swatched them for reference at the end. Here are some of my favorite non-toxic moisturizing lipsticks:
I love Bite Beauty Lipsticks. They smell so fruity and feel so silky on. Seriously, it’s some of the smoothest lipsticks I have ever tried. Unfortunately, you won’t be able to get the holiday set that I have because it was a seasonal item and same goes with the Movember edition (Mauvember) but I still highly recommend trying out other shades!
This was one of the first natural lipsticks that I ever bought because it was pretty much one of the only natural options in the drug store and it’s very reasonably priced (around $9.99 in Canada). I never repurchase the same lipstick shades but this is my second tube of the Burt’s Bees Lipstick in Brimming Berry. It’s clean rated 3 on Think Dirty App! They come in a nice range of shades and I would recommend looking into these lipsticks if you’re trying to make a switch to more natural products.
Okay, this one technically isn’t a lipstick but for a tinted lip balm, the color is pretty pigmented. I usually don’t like tinted lip balms because I don’t really like the shades they come in but I love this strawberry-like color. Erin’s Faces is definitely one of my favorite green beauty brands. PS: the lip balm looks different on than in the tube (see swatch below).
This product is great because it really doesn’t smudge easily or transfer if you apply it properly. It reminds me of a lip pencil minus the dryness. I got my Earth Lab Vegan Lip Stix from well.ca but it seems to be discontinued now— hopefully, you can order from their site directly!
