First Time in the Philippines

First Time in the Philippines

This past August, I was lucky enough to visit the Philippines alongside SAGE Canada for the SAGE World Cup 2016. It was an unforgettable experience overall— the Philippines is rich in culture and I will definitely be back! Although I have to admit, August is not a good time to visit. For the week I was in the Philippines, it rained every day… which limited us to mostly indoor activities and why I didn’t get as many photos as I wanted to. But of course, I didn’t let this bring me down!

For the duration of my trip, I mostly stayed in Manila, the capital. I enjoyed trying Jollibee, a Filipino fast-food chain restaurant as well as authentic Filipino dishes from local restaurants.  Not to mention, the Philippines is beautiful! The 2-hour drive from Manila to Pico De Loro is incredibly scenic. As for nightlife, I would recommend checking out Chaos Nightclub in the City of Dreams Manila.

I know the next time I come back, I have to visit the Boracay island and I will try to avoid the Monsoon season. Check out pictures from my trip below:
