Just last week I got back from a quick weekend trip to Montréal with my boyfriend Jason and a few friends of ours. Over the long weekend we explored downtown Montréal, Old Montréal, Notre-Dame Basilica, the Montréal Biodome, and botanical gardens. I love going out of town and exploring a new city. Even though Montréal isn’t technically new to me, I still felt like a tourist for the weekend and it was great. I only had a chance to snap photos of Old Montréal and the botanical garden but I’ll summarize my tips below:
My recommendations if you head to Montréal anytime soon…
–Call your hotel before you check in! There was a huge mix up with our hotel, and we ended up having to find a last minute Airbnb..
–Wear comfortable shoes! Be prepared to walk everywhere. I wore my inexpensive H&M sandals and regretted it every step I took.
-Try Juliette & Chocolat on Saint Catherine Street. Can’t go wrong with chocolate!
-Visit the botanical gardens in June! I found that a lot of flowers were not bloomed yet when I visited, and my guess is that by June the garden will be full.
